The Hollies are located immediately next-door to St Armands Court at 27
Church Lane, Garforth.
The home specialises in caring for elderly people with dementia. We maintain
strong links with local healthcare professionals, allowing specialist care
for Alzheimer's disease and dementia-related conditions.
There are 28 rooms available (en suite WC in five rooms).
Aimee
(Manager)
Aimee has worked within the care industry for 29 years and is currently undertaking a Level 5 qualification in Health and Social Care Leadership and Management.
Aimee has a passion for ensuring that person centred care is delivered to all that are living within the service, as she believes it is the residents’ home that staff are working in. Aimee actively promotes residents’ independence as much as possible and encourages the staff to work in the same way.
Aimee actively trains and supports staff in dementia care techniques, such as if a resident becomes agitated or upset at times, identifying and working out the reason as to why that person has become distressed is paramout. Aimee is passionate about identifying and analysing why residents become distressed and what are possible triggers, and will support staff to put strategies in place to minimise distress of residents so residents feel comfortable, supported and heard.
